Description
This herbal tea blend will help soothe your throat after a long day of singing (or speaking).
This tea was developed with Deborah “Zuke” Smith as part of zuketeas. It was previously called “Original Blend.”
You will receive a tin enough for 10-12 cups of tea.
Ingredients: peppermint, chamomile, echinacea, lemongrass, marshmallow root, mullein leaf, orange peel, spearmint, ginger, licorice root
Directions: Steep 1 teaspoon of tea in freshly boiled water for 3 to 5 minutes.
About the ingredients:
Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilia) can help calm nerves, act as a mild sedative, aid in digestion, and act as an anti-inflammatory. It is one of the most safest herbs to use.
Echinacea purpurea is widely used to fight infections and to boost the immune system. It is also used for sore throats.
Ginger root (Zingiber officinale) has been used in Chinese medicine for over 2,000 years as a remedy for digestive disorders including nausea.
Lemon grass (Cymbopogon citratus) is rich in Vitamin A and is used as a stimulant, antiseptic, and tonic.
Licorice root (Glycyrrhiza glabra) stimulates the adrenal glands to help the body cope with stress, treats stomach problems, and soothes a sore throat.
Marshmallow root (Althea officinalis) is unrelated to marshmallows — it is named as such because it’s a member of the mallow family and tends to live in a marshy habitat. It is used for bronchitis and the common sore throat.
Mullein leaf (Verbascum densiflorum) is high in iron, magnesium, potassium, and sulfur and is great for respiratory problems.
Orange peel (Citrus aurantium) is antiseptic, anti-inflammatory, and can reduce muscle spasms.
Peppermint (Mentha piperita) is excellent for fevers, digestive problems, tension, and insomnia.
Spearmint (Mentha spicata) contains compounds that aid digestion, shrink inflamed tissue, and relieve muscle spasms.

I love this tea! It has a light & delicate flavor! The aroma is so calming! This aroma would be great in an organic candle. But best of all it’s a great cup of herbal tea!
