Description
“The hero of Canton, the drink they call… tea!”
This strong black tea, with a hint of cocoa and vanilla, will certainly perk you up for your day. Serving suggestion: add a splash of milk!
You will receive a tin enough for 10-12 cups of tea.
Ingredients: Irish Breakfast black tea, cacao nibs, natural vanilla flavor
Directions: Steep 1 teaspoon of tea in freshly boiled water for 3 to 5 minutes.

So I just HAD to buy this tea because I’m a HUGE Firefly fan (really I’m an anything Joss Whedon fan) but I’ll admit I was a little apprehensive about the cocoa nibs. I was afraid end up with a drink that was some weird mix between hot chocolate and tea, but it wasn’t at ALL! There is just this subtle hint of cocoa and vanilla in this tea and it’s quite delicious! I added a little bit of raw sugar and a splash of milk and that helped bring out the cocoa and vanilla flavors more, and I’m happy to say that was the right decision. It’s not a flavor combo I would have come up with, but it really works well and I’m glad I decided to try it 🙂

Mudder’s Milk is a velvety smooth tea. The flavors blend well, and it tastes great with or without milk.

Oh. My. Firefly. Up until now, my two favorite teas were Nightmare Before Chocolate and Butter Brew. Well. Let me tell you- if NBC and BB had a love-child, Mudder’s Milk would be that child. Velvety smooth, and just North of strong, this tea has hints of vanilla and chocolate and just the right amount of sweet. Though my rational side tells me it’s meant to be a dessert tea, my tea-addiction says it’s an all-day any-day tea. This may definitely be my new go-to for comfort on a rainy, reading day!!!

I wasn’t sure about this tea considering the namesake, but it is wonderful! So smooth and rich! I love the hint of the cacao nibs at the end. A great morning tea!

Of course I HAD to try this, as a Firefly fan. I really enjoyed how smooth this tea is. It’s also complex even though there are only a few ingredients.
